Digital Communication
The NHS Cervical Screening Programme Service (CSPS) has now introduced all communications digitally. This includes invitations, reminders and all results.
What does that mean for me?
What this means for you as a patient is quicker and more convenient access to cervical screening invitations and results. For patients where a digital communication isn't possible, a letter will be posted instead.
The CSPS encourage all patients to download the NHS App and enable notifications: www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/
Why has this changed?
This digital transformation supports the NHS commitment to put patients in control of their own healthcare, making it easier to manage appointments and health needs.
How does this benefit me?
In additon to you getting your invites and results faster and more conveniently, the NHS Cervical Screening Programme Service plays an important role in ensuring these changes are communicated to women and people with a cervix so that they come forward for screening.
Continuing to encourage all those eligible remains central to their ambition to eliminate cervical cancer by 2040.
